Position: Director of Service Provider Support, Schools and Libraries Division
USAC, a dynamic non-profit company in downtown DC, has an outstanding opportunity as Director of Service Provider Support in the Schools and Libraries Division. The Division administers the E-rate program, a program to provide discounts from the Universal Service Fund for schools and libraries for telecommunications services, Internet access, and internal
connections.
The successful candidate will have:
* 5-7 years direct work experience in the telecommunications and/or information technology fields;
* 2 or more years managing "stakeholder" relationships, including various sectors in business and government;
* 2 or more years working with or in government at the local, state, and federal level;
* Ability to provide effective training sessions for large audiences;
* Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience;
* Experience as an independent worker who also functions effectively in a team environment;
and knowledge of the E-rate program is also strongly desired.
Responsibilities include:
* Develop and manage the division’s outreach to service provdiers through various methods; development of service provider guidance and training materials;
* Creation of new products and innovative solutions that provide for broad and informed program participation throughout the service provider community; and
* Design and facilitation of various training programs.
